SALEM, NH – Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire, is the place to be for “screeems,” thrills and chills during the Park’s SCREEEMFEST event, each weekend from September 24 through October 30. Canobie offers one of the best varieties of fall entertainment in all of New England.

There’s fun by day with rides, games and plenty of family-friendly options, including a petting zoo on Saturday and Sunday afternoons through October 23rd. Then at night, SCREEEMFEST adds fear to all that fun through October 30th with five terrifying haunted houses, including two NEW haunts this year: Carnivus where evil clowns still rule the long-dead carnival, and Virus: Quarantine, where no one is immune. There are roaming “monsters” and a monster parade throughout the park, Halloween-themed games and much more.

Canobie’s ROCKtoberfest event features a different legendary rock tribute band each weekend during SCREEEMFEST featuring professional touring bands. Canobie Lake Park To Honor Our Troops and Veterans Memorial Day Weekend

SALEM, NH – Summer fun is an everyday affair at Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire, starting Memorial Day Weekend. Beginning May 27th, Canobie will be open seven days a week with over 85 rides, games, live shows and attractions.

The Park will also hold its annual Armed Services Appreciation Days over Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 28-30. Armed Services Members and Veterans presenting a valid U.S. Government-issued military or veteran identification at the Park on those days will be able to purchase a General Admission ticket for just $10. Children ages 12 and under may also receive the $10 admission on those days if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian presenting his or her valid US Military ID. Memorial Day Observance 2016

Monday, May 30th, 2016
The Hamptons; American Legion Post 35, which includes veterans of Hampton, North Hampton, Hampton Falls, is hosting various observances on Monday. Ceremonies are: 8 a.m. at the Hampton Beach War Memorial; 9 a.m. in Hampton Falls at Weare Common; 10 a.m. North Hampton parade, followed by gathering in front of the library; and 11 a.m., parade through Hampton, followed by services at High Street Cemetery. Refreshments and live music from noon to 2 p.m. at the North Hampton Gazebo after the last Hampton service.
Rye, NH; Memorial Day events begin at 9 a.m. Monday, with a parade from Town Hall to Central Cemetery for the Presentation of the Colors. Guest speaker is Natalie Healy, Afghanistan Gold Star Mother. Awards will be presented to the winners of the poster and writing contests from Rye Elementary and Junior High schools. After the ceremony, refreshments will be provided by the Historical Society.

Seabrook, NH; The Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post 70 is holding a Memorial Day service and parade today, May 30, starting at 9 a.m. in front of Town Hall. Guest speaker is Marine veteran Al Weare, R-Seabrook. All are welcome to the American Legion on Walton Road for refreshments.

Portsmouth, NH; The Central Veterans Council Memorial Day parade and cemetery service begins at 1 p.m. Monday at the corner of Parrott and Junkins avenues, continues to Pleasant Street, through Market Square to Congress Street, onto Middle Street to Richards Avenue, and finally to South Cemetery.
